Workshop Time !

Tenby & District Camera Club held its first workshop tonight, a
practical evening, where everyone is invited to join in the varied
separate events.
There was a fully functional portrait studio, thanks to Dave
Bolton, and all the equipment he brought in and set up,
including arranging the models. This time it was two burly men,
who proved to be very photogenic. The gangster theme worked
well .The studio was kept busy all evening with Ali Rees helping
with the organisation .
Jan Sullivan, organised a set up of crystal balls with many
different background. Jan was on hand to advise of the different
ways to photograph them, making it a different and creative
experience.
Charlie Kidd was also a popular presenter, demonstrating his
Lightroom and other Software skills using his computer and his
images. A useful ability to have to improve any photograph.
Alan Brown brought in his extreme close up set up and
demonstrated this difficult and skilled procedure. It is always
interesting as Alan designs many of the pieces of equipment to
achieve the effects he desires.
Rob Cox also had 2 macro projects set up, advising members
on settings, lighting and equipment for focus stacking of small
subjects. A creative demonstration of water droplets and giving
them colour with card was well supported too.
John Whitehurst set up a light box with a selection of flowers
available, to capture a different effect of floral art.
