2nd Open Competition
Imants Grindulis was the guest judge at the camera club meeting on 12th Jan 2017. The chairman Roy Packer thanked him for standing in at short notice to judge the second open competition.
Imants Grindulis explained that judging was difficult due to the high standard of entries, this was demonstrated by the high number of images which were held back.
There were 22 prints and 24 digital images to be judged, each receiving fair and constructive criticism.
Roy Packer finished 1st in the print competition, Gill MacKay was second, both scoring 20, Charlie Kidd was third with 19.
After the break the high standard continued with the digital section. 5 digital images received a score of 20 points and two scored 19; 1st was Gill MacKay, 2nd Ali Rees, and 3rd was Alistair MacKay. Charlie Kidd and Mike Cullis both scored 20 but did not finish in the top three.
Dave Lewis thanked Imants Grindulis for his excellent judging and critique
