MONO COMP
TENBY CAMERA CLUB NEWS
The adverse winter conditions resulted in a wise decision to cancel the club meeting.
The Mono competition judging was the intended programme. It was decided the results and critique would be sent out by e-mail to members over the weekend instead. Not as much fun but did the job.
The competition was judged by Mike Clatworthy , a Swansea based photographer & a member of both Abertawe & Swansea Camera Clubs.
There were the usual 2 categories print and digitals.
There were 23 print entries, covering a wide range of subject matter such as landscapes, horses and people. Jan Sullivan gained the top spot with her image “ My Little Pony”. In second was Charlie Kidd with “ The Entertainer” and in third was Paul Deverson and “ Hurghada Market”. All three images scored the maximum mark of 20 points.
There were 28 digital images entered which also featured a cross section of subject material. In first place was Dave Marriot with a landscape of the local scene “The Blue Lagoon”. In second place was Dave Lewis with “Tipple”, an image taken on St Catherine’s Island in Tenby. In third place was Cheryl Hewitt with “Buddies” taken at a Martletwy Show. All three placed entries gained maximum points.
There will not be a meeting on Thursday 8th March . Club members will be travelling to support Tenby Camera Club at The Carmarthen 4 way Battle Competition.
