Gareth Martin
Roy Packer Chairman of the Tenby and District Camera Club introduced the guest speaker for the evening, Mr Gareth Martin AWPF, CPAGB who travelled the M4 corridor from Bridgend to give a talk ‘From my Doorstep and Beyond’. Gareth is a member of the Bridgend and District Camera Club and also the Cymru Monochrome Club and has been very successful in salons and competitions with his images. He brought with him a variety of images which he had entered into the various salons and spoke of the different judge’s reactions and comments to his work and there were some very interesting stories attached to several of the images.
Gareth displayed a panel of 12 prints taken at Margam Abbey, together with images taken at Kidderminster, Kidwelly and Beamish. Following a refreshment break Gareth displayed digital images from his doorstep, in and around Part Talbot and Aberavon Beach. To complete his talk he showed the same image in colour, black and white and sepia to show members how the image changes, sometimes for the better other times not.
