Allan Lloyd “Variety is the Spice of Life”
There was another well attended evening to watch a very interesting presentation by Allan Lloyd . Allan who is
based in Chepstow is a regular speaker for us. This talk started with Allan’s experiences visiting Alaska .
Salmon spawning and the attracted Bears in the rivers and on waterfalls were superbly photographed. There
was other wildlife too, bald eagles for instance and some spectacular landscapes as well.
Allan is an enthusiastic and experienced Drone photographer and he spent time demonstrating how to fly a
drone and answered the many questions from that field.
Finally we were treated to Allan’s beautiful images taken over the years, of distant galaxies and stars. There
was an excellent explanation of the equipment used, what software is required and the best type of locations
to capture the Milky Way and much more beyond.
