Awards Evening

The last event in the Club Calendar. A pleasant social evening with awards, trophies, certificates and slideshows aplenty.

The Merit Trophy for the member with the most points who didn’t gain a gold, silver or bronze award.
This year it went to Francis White.

The Ray Hine Memorial Trophy is awarded to the member with the most points from the 3 Open Competitions held this season.

This year it went to Jan Sullivan with 210 out of 240 points.
In second place was Charlie Kidd with 203 points, third with 202 points was Roy Peters and in 4th place Dave Bolton with 198 points.

The Photographer of the Year 2026 was announced during the proceedings.
This is awarded to the member with the most points given in all the externally judged competitions, digital and print.

This Year Jan Sullivan took this coveted award. In 2nd place was Charlie Kidd, 3rd Rob Cox and 4th was Cheryl Hewitt.

The end of a very successful and enjoyable season. Sincere thanks to all the committee members who diligently keep the club on a firm footing. Thanks also to members who contribute to the running of the club, for refreshments and fundraising.

Summer School has begun on the 1st of June run by Jan Sullivan, with enthusiastic members looking forward to learning all about Phone Photography. Meet ups, What’s app, fun and learning to be the order of day.

The New Season begins in September, watch out for the new programme!
